Associate Manager, Brand Marketing
We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented marketing professional to join our team as Associate Manager, Brand Marketing, reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing. The role will be responsible for executing a wide array of brand marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Support Senior Manager, Brand Marketing and VP of Marketing in creation, execution and analysis of all campaigns and initiatives designed to increase awareness of the TripAdvisor brand and positioning
- Help manage all of TripAdvisor’s brand campaigns, including messaging, media planning and creative
development:
- Work closely with external agencies and vendors on planning, evaluation and execution of creative concepts and media placements, including drafting creative briefs, reviewing media plans, setting up tracking links and trafficking creative.
- Ensure media plans are successfully executed in print, online, out-of-home, and non-traditional (such as guerrilla/street teams) campaigns.
- Coordinate design, content, sponsorship elements, traffic and technical resources to meet multiple, interdependent deadlines.
- Manage, develop and implement marketing programs and projects relating to TripAdvisor’s trade campaigns which will include off- and on-line campaign management and the management of outside vendors.
- Help identify non-traditional opportunities to promote the TripAdvisor brand, including but not limited to viral marketing, event marketing and games.
- Assist with budget management
Hiring requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in marketing where brand or consumer marketing was an essential component of responsibility
- Specific experience and success in offline and online buying and planning experience required; non-traditional marketing experience a plus
- Ability to think creatively
- Experience working closely with an external agency
- Experience working cross-functionally
- Strong organization and analytic skills absolutely required
- Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor preferred

Director, Email Marketing
Position
TripAdvisor is looking for an experienced Director of Email Marketing to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand & Customer Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing an extensive, dynamic email marketing program targeted to the TripAdvisor member base, including:
- Subscription, promotional and trigger-based email products
- Customer activation, retention and loyalty email programs
- Targeted member segment email campaigns
- Adaptation/augmentation of programs to address international needs
- Oversight of policies that run across initiatives
- Oversight of outsourced and internal email marketing systems
The position calls for a strategic marketer who can independently manage multiple campaigns and programs simultaneously, optimizing the customer segmentation for each.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan for growth of CRM email programs, identifying new opportunities to improve ROI through new products and/or improved contact strategies.
- Ensure quality execution of regular CRM email communications, e-newsletters, email campaigns and seasonal programs
- Refine marketing segmentation strategy
- Understand and communicate business trends and program performance to senior management team
- Sponsor cross-functional CRM projects while maintaining good relationships with stakeholders from sales, product, design and international marketing.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of current business policies/procedures and operations while determining optimal email program execution methods.
- Supervise a team of 2 email marketing managers and grow the team as needed to accomplish goals.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in email marketing, running large, complex email programs
- CRM program management experience preferred
- Strategic thinker with experience planning and implementing new marketing programs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and time-management skills
- Strong analytic capabilities required, both quantitative and qualitative
- Skill managing both the big picture and fine details
- Bachelors degree required, MBA with a focus on marketing preferred
- Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor preferred
