Overview:

This is a senior marketing role within the Corporate & Institutional Banking ("C&IB") Marketing team, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer of C&IB. The person in this role will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing plans for assigned C&IB business segments.   • Develop a fundamental understanding of business strategies, goals, products and services.
  • Direct resources inside and outside of PNC.
  • Ensure strong alignment with enterprise-wide brand and marketing objectives.
  • Provide professional mentoring to junior marketing staff.
  • Develop marketing programs specific to the customer segment needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with business segment leadership.
  • Provide a leadership role in development of client data analytics and market research… and incorporate insights into development of marketing plans and programs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business profitability dynamics.
  • Provide insights to business segment leadership and contribute to development of business strategy

Essential functions include…

  • Translating business objectives into marketing strategies and tactics
  • Developing marketing budgets and obtaining alignment with business segment leadership.
  • Prioritizing frequently changing demands for marketing programs and tactics.
  • Providing ongoing communication to business partners.
  • Managing multiple staff through indirect reporting relationships
  • Accountability for the results of marketing across all assigned segments
  • Indirect reporting relationships and may have direct reporting relationships

To be successful in the role of a Marketing Segment Manager, you should have the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong familiarity with all primary marketing channels, including Advertising, Direct Mail, Email, Internet,
  • Intranet, Conferences, Events, Sales Collateral.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to consistently prioritize workflow with heavy emphasis based on business impact.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with people and sufficiently understand the business and communication processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of leading development of objectives for client data analytics and market research.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams from multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to influence senior business leaders with data-driven arguments.
  • Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • 12 or more years of business / marketing experience
  • A Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
