Company Will Develop and Manage a Multi-platform Advertising Campaign for the National Education-focused Organization
WATERTOWN, MA (April 24, 2012) — Allen & Gerritsen (a&g), recently ranked number one in the United States by Advertising Age as “Best Place to Work in Marketing and Media” for the second consecutive year, announced today that it has been named the agency of record by City Year, an education-focused, nonprofit organization that works in urban schools to help students graduate.
City Year corps members serve as near-peer tutors, mentors and role models in high-need schools, identifying students with a high likelihood of dropping out based on those ABCs – the early warning indicators that research confirms indicate a student’s likelihood of dropping out. This year, more than 2,000 corps members serve in 189 schools nationwide, impacting more than 100,000 students.
