Insurer Liberty Mutual says it will hire 100 new employees in connection with the launch of a new Information Technology Development Center in Boston.
The positions are a mixture of entry level and experienced roles for software developers, project managers and architects, the company said.
“Our IT operations are critically important to Liberty Mutual’s future success as a global insurer and we look forward to attracting some of the best and brightest minds from the area’s universities and deep IT talent pool,” said Edmund F. Kelly, Liberty Mutual Group chairman and chief executive officer.
Liberty Mutual presently has IT Development Centers in Dover and Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Indianapolis, Indiana; and, Seattle, Washington.
In October, Liberty Mutual broke ground on a 22-story, 590,000 square-foot office building at 157 Berkeley Street as the company expands its global headquarters located in Boston.
