Everyone remembers where they were on the morning of 9/11. The partners of VOXmarketing were in their lawyer’s office signing their incorporation papers. It was an inauspicious – and scary – day to be starting an ad agency. “We were on one of the top floors in one of tallest buildings in the financial district. As soon as we signed the papers, they evacuated the building,” remembered founding partner and Interactive Director Mitch Rosenbaum.
VOX recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, with a dinner cruise around the Boston harbor aboard a private yacht. The three founding partners, 20 staffers and their guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and dinner, as well as a magnificent sunset on the water, during the 4-hour cruise on a recent warm August evening.
As a virtual agency, all VOX staff members work from their home offices and are linked through online project management tools. “These days, being virtual is pretty common,” noted Managing Partner Amy Paxson. “But in 2001, we were pioneers. We developed systems and processes to replicate everything we knew how to do in a brick-and-mortar agency, and reinvented it for the virtual workplace. And after 10 years, it still works.”
VOXmarketing is a full service agency offering a broad spectrum of marketing capabilities including brand strategy, offline and online advertising, event support, and systems development.
