The awards ceremony will take place April 5, 2011 at the Capitale Ballroom in New York City.
In addition, David Balter, CEO and Founder of BzzAgent, will discuss engineering successful new product launches at the Meet the Innovators Forum being held in conjunction with the Edison Awards. He will appear on a panel titled "Getting it into the Marketplace: From Inception to End Use," which will be moderated by Randall Lane, Editor of The Daily Beast and Newsweek. The panel will take place from 10:30-11:10 am at the New York Academy of Sciences and feature Dr. Howard Moskowitz, CEO of I-Novation Inc.; Shawn Stad, Staff Engineer, Johnson & Johnson; Gene Farrell, Vice President and General Manager of Coca-Cola Freestyle; and Michael Docherty, President of Spencer Trask. Other notable speakers at the forum include Ford CEO Alan Mulally, WPP CEO Sir Martin Sorrell and filmmaker Jon Landau.

Edison Award winners were selected by a committee of 2,000 top marketing and academic professionals, who reviewed thousands of new products and scored them on Marketplace Innovation, Marketplace Success, Technological Innovation, Market Structure Innovation, Societal Impact and Design Innovation. Finalists were selected in 28 categories including consumer packaged goods, energy and sustainability to new retail frontiers. Finalists include the Chevy Volt, iPad and Xbox Kinect as well as innovations such as Ford's inflatable rear seat belts.
