    ISM ADDS MONA DOWNEY TO LEAD STRATEGIC PLANNING AND DIGITAL INTEGRATION
    New position leverages Downey’s extensive marketing consulting and digital expertise

    BOSTON, MA (August 3, 2009)-- ISM, a Boston-based consulting, marketing and advertising firm that specializes in problem solving for premier brands in the travel and lifestyle category, has announced the appointment of Mona Downey to the new position of Director of Strategic Planning and Digital Integration.

    Ms. Downey brings nearly 20 years of digital, advertising and marketing experience to ISM, having most recently served as Director of Consulting for Boston-based Beam Interactive where she helped lead the agency’s efforts in winning and servicing such clients as Comcast, Procter & Gamble, PUMA and athenahealth. Prior to that, she had been the VP, Group Director at Euro RSCG Circle overseeing the Verizon Small Business account.

    In her new position at ISM, Downey will oversee the agency’s client management and account planning teams, as well as lead strategy development across digital, interactive and social media channels. “Digging in and applying my experience to one, very focused category is very appealing,” said Downey. “My perspective will further fuel ISM’s forward and innovative thinking.”

    Possessing both an agency- and client-side perspective, Ms. Downey has also served as the Executive Director, Marketing for the New England Journal of Medicine; Vice President and Director of Marketing for Bertelsmann Publishing Group; and Director of Marketing Small/Medium Business for BELLSOUTH Telecommunications.

    Ms. Downey started her advertising career in New York as a media planner for Saatchi & Saatchi and entered account management at Lintas, where she worked on the IBM account.
