Holland-Mark Captures Gazelle: Opportunity to Establish New Category of reCommerce

    Boston, MA (May 2009) – Gazelle, the nation’s largest reCommerce company rewarding consumers for properly trading in electronic gadgets, has hired Holland-Mark after an agency review to further establish its brand and leadership position in the burgeoning reCommerce marketplace.

    Gazelle provides consumers and businesses with an efficient way to turn used electronics into cash, to create space, or simply to recycle. Unlike many of its competitors, Gazelle accepts products across a wide range of categories and has put more than 50,000 gadgets into reuse or properly recycled them. This year alone, Gazelle customers already prevented more than seven tons of e-Waste by using the service.

    Holland-Mark is tasked with helping to extend Gazelle’s reach and impact. “Gazelle is changing the way people think about used electronics and the value their effective disposal can mean to consumers and their community. The Gazelle brand experience is incredibly easy and the range of possibilities really rewarding. We just need to let more people know about it,” says Chris Colbert, the agency’s CEO. Kristina Kennedy, Gazelle’s head of branding and communications, states, “Changing consumer behavior requires absolute brand clarity and a relentless focus on delivering a great customer experience. Holland-Mark gets that and is capable of helping us deliver on that experience in many important ways.”

    The brand work and campaign budget have not yet been established.
