Genuine’s Lysol Power & Free Facebook Application Awarded 19th Annual Communicator Awards

    BOSTON, May 6, 2013 ½ Genuine, a Boston-based full-service digital agency, was awarded a 2013 Silver Award of Distinction under the Interactive Multimedia for gaming/gaming related category in the 19th Annual Communicator Awards. The Power & Free New Era of Clean Challenge was created to promote Lysol’s new line of cleaning products that cleaned with a hydrogen peroxide formula instead of the harshness of bleach.

    The Lysol Power & Free New Era of Clean Challenge received the Award of Distinction for the interactive experience of gaming to promote a product, news, or tips/advice. Genuine’s Facebook application helped Lysol improve engagement between its brand and its target consumers, ultimately helping to increase sales of its new product. 

    Lysol Power & Free New Era of Clean Challenge resulted in 78,000 game starts in the Facebook application, with a 75 percent game completion rate. Of the 69 percent of users who completed the game, they also downloaded a coupon for the Power & Free product line.  Genuine’s collaboration with other partner agencies for Lysol in the Power & Free digital campaign helped boost Lysol sales by 30 percent.
