    Three-Year Assignment is to Raise Awareness and Stop Growth of Widespread Disease

    Pittsburgh, Penn. and Wenham, Mass., February 26, 2009 - Mullen has won the integrated marketing account for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) following a competitive review.  The agency, which has extensive experience in the area of healthcare marketing and advocacy, has been awarded a three-year contract to develop a new branding campaign to raise awareness and understanding of the seriousness of diabetes and its consequences.  Mullen’s efforts will support the entire Diabetes Association from local field offices through national programming.

    “Mullen demonstrated a tremendous understanding and passion for our cause,” said Larry Hausner, chief executive officer of the American Diabetes Association.  “We know they’ll be a strong strategic and creative partner in our efforts to fight diabetes.”

    As the first-ever agency-of-record for the Diabetes Association, Mullen will provide a full-range of marketing communications services, including strategic planning, advertising, digital marketing, media planning and buying, as well as extensive public relations and public affairs.  An integrated brand team, spanning Mullen’s Pittsburgh, PA and Wenham, MA offices, will collaborate on the American Diabetes Association account.
