US:
We are a full service advertising agency in Davis
Square, Somerville.
YOU: Preferably
a Communications, Marketing or Design major. Primary
responsibilities to include: assisting with presentation
materials, internet research, viral marketing,
revising graphics, basic HTML, answering the phone
and various other day-to-day activities. Minimum
15-20 hrs per week. Unpaid but an excellent learning
opportunity and you may receive college credit
if applicable.
Winter/Spring Sales and Marketing Internship Opportunity
About the Internship
Our ideal intern for this position is a business, marketing or advertising major. A career interest in the magazine industry is requested and an interest in home design is a plus.
Duties largely include administrative support of sales, marketing and production departments, with a particular need emphasis on assisting with event planning support
Hours are flexible and would range between 8 and 20 hours per week.
This is an unpaid internship, but sure to be a learning experience. It is preferred that interested applicants have a car; however the office is accessible by bus.
Marketing Intern will report directly into Marketing Director. Projects may vary from week to week, with some as an on-going basis.

Assist with budget management

Coordinating invitation mailing
Manage guest list and follow up with clients
On-site set-up and registration duties
Assist with event sponsor communication
Prepare sponsor materials packages
E-mail Database Management
Create a strong email database of clients using Constant Contact sorted by
Current advertisers
Current prospects
New England Home consumers (readers)
Trade professionals
E-mail Newsletter
Support in collecting data for monthly newsletters
Writing and editing of newsletter
Researching luxury home industry article hotlinks
Internal Ad Database
Develop a tracking system for all marketing and trade advertisements both digital and hard copy format
Advertising Sales Support
Assist sales assistant with client mailings
Assist production manager
Additional administrative duties as they arise.

marketing support activities for our ad sales publications.
Internships are unpaid and applicants must receive

Spotlight is always seeking highly motivated, professional and outgoing interns. A positive winning attitude is a must! Previous experience working in public relations internships is preferred, but not required. Interns should also demonstrate STRONG written and oral communications skills.

Requirements:
B.A. in Communications or English
MS Office, Web, and Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus
1-3 years experience in public relations or commensurate internship work is accepted
15-20 hours per week commitment at our office
Strong attention to detail
Experience in Public Relations and liaising with press highly desired
