| Anne-Marie
Aigner, Boomer Broads with Attitude |
When
Anne-Marie founded Aigner Associates in 1984, her
goal was to apply her 15 years in broadcast journalism
to marketing. For decades, she had investigated and
reported the news for several Boston radio stations
and for CBS-AM/NY. She had also worked behind the
scenes at CBS-TV, in Paris, NY and Washington, D.C.
and on-air as a reporter for NBC Television in Boston.
She began her professional life in broadcasting. Now
she’s going back from whence she came, so to
speak. Anne-Marie has raised two kids while a single
mom! The day her son was born, so too was Aigner Associates.
In between work and kids, she has taught at Boston
University, Emerson College, and elsewhere, has worked
with numerous non-profits, especially those serving
kids, established teen programs in her hometown, even
created a regional month-long holiday event on Boston
Common. At the age of 57 she took up cycling and did
a 200-mile charity ride for cancer. Her second child
graduates from college this year. Anne-Marie is still
cycling – and “driving the bus”.
She just turned 60. |

| Janet
Prensky, Boomer Broads with Attitude |
| Talk
to Janet Prensky for a minute or two and you know
immediately that this woman was MADE for radio –
the voice, the jokes, the whole “shtick”.
For the past 20 years, she has been Senior Vice President
of a Boston-based marketing agency, but her background
– her passion -- is broadcasting: She was Boston's
first female sports radio talk host for WEEI-Radio,
a talk show host for WBZ-AM, the "voice"
for WBZ-TV, a radio and television traffic reporter
and a broadcast journalist for CBS-Radio and WBZ-TV.
She is the author of “Everywoman’s Guide
to Auto Racing” – pretty ironic for a
woman who failed her driver’s test three times!
Janet was born in 1956. She is a bona fide Boomer
Broad with Attitude. Janet has taught a course on
Radio Announcing for Emerson College and served on
the Boston Sports Advisory Council. She has worked
in a pro bono capacity for the Elderly Commission
of Boston, the Boston Partnership for Older Adults
and The New England Women’s Fund. In her capacity
with the New England Women’s Fund, Janet helped
create the New England Women’s Sports Award
Reception and the New England Women’s Sports
Hall of Fame. |

| Kathy
Sherbrooke, President and Co-founder, Circles |
| Responsible
for translating the Circles vision into strategic
business objectives and financial results, Kathy Sherbrooke
has propelled Circles to a leadership position in
the customer and employee loyalty space among Fortune
1000 companies.
Kathy
is wowed by the change Circles is able to make in
peoples’ lives. For example, by fulfilling a
customer’s request to help achieve her sister’s
life-long dream of riding an elephant while in remission
from breast cancer, we were able to create a profound
impact in her family’s life. Kathy is also moved
by “putting together groups of people who love
working together, have real friendships, and are passionate
about what they do.”
Previously,
Kathy was Product Marketing Manager for INC. Magazine’s
business products division. In this role, she had
direct responsibility for helping small businesses
run effectively and caught the entrepreneurial bug.
A
graduate of Stanford Business School, Kathy co-founded
Circles in 1997 to address the needs of time-starved
professionals and corporations that rely on these
professionals as high-value customers or employees.
Two things she didn't learn in school: the “power
and importance of good decision making” and
the “complexity in managing an organization
full of people.”
Kathy
believes Circles’ mission is to make peoples’
lives richer. “We are making a difference in
the lives of the people who work here, the members
who call in each day and our clients and partners.”
Kathy
was a finalist for the 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur
of the Year Award and was recognized as one of Boston
Business Journal's Top 40 Under 40. Circles received
the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Small Business
of the Year award for 2003. |
